The Team hope walk for hd to be held September 18

The third annual Team Hope Walker for HD will be held on the Ankeny campus of the Des Moines Area Community College on September 18, 2010. The walk will be from 9:00-11:00 AM with registration beginning at 8:00 AM. The cost is $15 for adults or $20 the day of the event. Children are $10 or $15 the day of the event. Everyone who registers will receive a FREE t-shirt. You can pre-register by contacting event chairman Lori Wesack at 515.314.7262 or loriwesack@gmail.com.

Lori is joined by co-chairs Jenna Carnahan and Kim Wesack in planning this year’s event. This will be the first year to hold the event on the DMACC campus and the organizers are excited about the change. Wesack tells us it is a beautiful campus with ample room for a walk.

In addition to the walk there will also be a Silent Auction to raise additional money for HD Research.

The Huntington’s Disease Society of America is also awarding a trip for two to the Bahamas for the top fundraiser in the country. First and second prizes are round trip airfare for one within the US. A pledge sheet is found on page 5 of this newsletter.

They are also accepting donations for sponsors. If you or your company would like to be on the event t-shirts sponsorships are $100. We have many families who donate in memory or honor of a loved one and we encourage you to consider this. We are also accepting items for the Silent Auction or product for event participants. Contact the chairs for more information or fill out the form below.
